Holy Kadhimiya lived Tuesday morning, 25th Rajab, the ceremony of the symbolic funeral of the seventh Imam Musa bin Jaafar Al-Kadhim in an atmosphere full of sorrow. The masses who celebrated the anniversary recalled the sufferings of the Holy Imam under the rule of tyranny during the Abbasid era; the Imam who was unjustly treated by the Abbasid rulers and kept for years in their dark dungeons. The ceremony was attended by masses of believers, especially from Kadhimiya city, headed by some sheikhs and notables. The masses were received by the Chairman of the Shia Waqf Council, Sayyed Alaa Al-Musawi and the Secretary General of the Kadhimain Holy Shrine, Prof. Dr. Jamal Al-Dabbagh and members of the management staff, the Marji’iya representative Sheikh Hussein Aal-Yaseen and some other noble scholars. Sayyed Jaafar Al-Mushashai, a speaker, recited the story of the martyrdom of the Imam, followed by some poems on the sad story of his martyrdom.
