Iraq’s Future in Post-Victory Stage

Al-Jawadain Library of KHS held its 99th monthly cultural seminar on Thursday, 4th January, 2018, titled “Iraq’s Future in Post-Victory Stage”. The seminar was attended by the KHS Secretary General, Prof. Dr. Jamal Al-Dabbagh and a number of academic and cultural personalities. The Seminar was started with the recitation of some verses from the Holy Quran, which was followed by a word delivered by his eminence Sheikh Imad Al-Kadhimi on the significance of Fatwa that restored the dignity of Iraq and its military forces. He emphasized that it is necessary to document this stage of Iraq’s history starting from the day when the Fatwa was passed, so that these events would be literally and honestly passed down to coming generations. The 1920-fatwa helped establish the State of Iraq, and the 2014-fatwa maintained it. After that, Dr. Hussein Allawi reviewed the Iraqi scene and the post-victory future underlining that the government must be vigilant and cautious after the victory that our security and mobilization forces achieved. He also indicated the necessity of protecting Iraq from the terrorist organizations and the Takfiri thoughts since the perils are still there. The seminar was also enriched with the questions and discussions of the audience.
