Kadhimain Holy Shrine Participates in Writing the Basic Articles of Social Peace and National Reform Charter


Kadhimain Holy Shrine Delegation headed by Eng. Jalal M. Ali, member of the Board, participated in the workshop held by Awqaff and Religious Affairs Committee in the Parliament to release an initiative for the Social Peace and National Reform script in the presence of the representatives of Awqaff, Holy Shrines, Religious, Political, and Social personalities in addition to the representatives of UN and EU in Iraq. During the debate, they discussed the fallouts of the present situation, necessity of standing as one column against Terrorism or any danger trying to spoil the Iraqi unity by firmly confronting it, abandoning violence, extremist culture and spreading the language of love and tolerance. In the meantime, Kadhimain Holy Shrine submitted a work paper entitled "suggestions for the mechanism of spreading the Culture of Peace" It emphasized on the following issues: • Focusing on Media of all forms to educate the society. • The importance of reviewing the Curricula of schools, universities to include the Shariaa Principles. • Popularizing the culture of respecting Law and resorting to Justice to solve problems. • Emphasizing on the vital role of the Heads of the Tribes. • Establishing workshops at universities and institutions to implant the Peaceful Co- existence Culture. • Educate Woman and consider her the first holder of the child to bring him up and teach him how to deal with society. • Enhance the principles of tolerance and common dialogue among students to fulfill the equation between nursing and education. • Set up National contests and festivals to fight violence, emphasizing on Peaceful Co- existence, in addition to dialogue and research activities. • Abolish making prejudgments against people and having faith in their good intentions. • Consolidate Trust, cooperation, feeling for others' suffering. • Establishing faith that religious extremism is the worst kind of extremism and might become more destructive than weapons.
